Abia Warriors boss Erasmus Onu dreams Super six ticket after stunning Rangers

The coach of Abia Warrior Erasmus Onu is confident his side can achieve the unthinkable this season after opening day win at Rangers International on Sunday.

Abia Warriors stunned the six time Nigerian Champions, winning 0-2 away from home at the Akwa City Stadium.

The win was another shocking result recorded from the match day of the 2022-2023 campaign.

“Well, that’s the first game, I have been here several times, and we take it as it comes.

If the opportunity comes for me to win the league I will be happy but we take the games as they are because every game has its preparation.

I did nothing special in this game than the cooperation between me and my crew, and the players were disciplined” He told the Club’s media.

Abia Warriors traveled to Awka for the game with just 16 players, following registration issue with the league organizers.

The gaffer says, he hope the club will address the problem sooner so he can have all his players available for selection.

This is not the main squad we suppose to use for this game because we have issues in the area of registrations, if you look at us we were 16 and we have to change the plan, but the issue will be addressed, I believe“, he concluded.
