Iheanacho features, Ndidi missing as Leicester beats MK Don in EFL Cup

Kelechi Iheanacho played a part as Leicester City thrashed MK Dons 0-3 to advance to the next round of English Football League Cup.

Iheanacho started the game from the bench as Coach Brendan Rodgers gave Jamie Vardy, Dennis Praet, Harvey Barnes and Ayoze Perez the nod to start.

The Super Eagles forward however got his chance in the second half, coming on for Ayoze Perez in the 67th minutes.

And it was the third appearance for the forward in the competition, and he failed to get a goal.

His international teammate, Wilfred Ndidi was not listed for action.

The game was a perfect rehearsal for Leicester City as Premier League duties resume on Boxing Day against Newcastle United.

The Foxes are then due on Merseyside to tackle Liverpool next Friday, before kicking off 2023 by hosting Fulham on 3 January.
