Morocco’s manager Walid Regragui said he’s happy with his team, despite the defeat to the defending champions France in the World Cup semi-final match on Wednesday.
France ended Morocco’s unbeaten run in the tournament, defeating the Atlas Lions 2-0 at the Al Bayt Stadium.
A goal in each half from Theo Hernandez (5′) and substitute Randal Kolo Muani (79′) decided the encounter.
Speaking after the game, Regragui said that, “We gave the maximum, that’s the most important thing.”
“We had a few injuries, we lost Aguerd in the warm-up, Saïss, Mazraoui at half-time against a team like France, the slightest mistake is paid for.”
