Ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, Super Eagles head coach Finidi George is facing the possibility of making several adjustments to his squad due to injuries.

Sources have revealed that midfielders Frank Onyeka and Samuel Chukwueze are grappling with fitness concerns, while Nathan Tella may need to withdraw due to personal reasons.

Earlier this week, Finidi was compelled to replace Victor Osimhen with Kenneth Igboke after the Napoli striker withdrew from the squad.

To address these potential setbacks, the coach is considering summoning players from the NPFL as replacements.

Nigeria will gear up to confront South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7.

Subsequently, they are scheduled to travel to Abidjan to face the Benin Republic three days later.
