Super Eagles midfielder Dele Bashiru and defender Semi Ajayi have been given the green light to play in today’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Benin in Abidjan.
Both players have been deemed fit for selection, with no injury concerns reported within the team, the team’s Media confirmed to Brila Media on Sunday.
Finidi George had a full compliment of the squad during the team’s recovery and training sessions on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The team had their final session on Sunday evening and Brila can confirm that Dele-Bashiru and Ajayi, who were both substituted in the game against South Africa due to injury concerns, were involved.
Dele Bashiru sustained a thigh injury while Ajayi requested to be substituted in the 80th minute.
The Super Eagles, currently fifth in group C, will face Benin today at 5pm at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Cote d’Ivoire.
