Super Eagles head coach Finidi George has selected players from the NPFL for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.

According to sources close to the team Finidi included four players from the local league in the provisional list.

The final list of players set to participate in the games is expected to be disclosed this week.

Scheduled to assemble on the opening day, all invited players will join camp, with full-fledged preparations set to commence.

The Super Eagles will kickstart their preparations for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against Bafana Bafana in Uyo on June 3.

Following this fixture, the three-time African champions will confront the Squirrels of Benin on June 10.

Having drawn their opening two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, Nigeria is yet to secure a win in the qualifiers, heightening the anticipation for their upcoming matches.
