The Super Eagles will soon learn their opponents in the qualification race for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Morocco will host the 35th edition of Africa’s premier football championship.
The draw for the qualification round will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday, July 4th.
Preliminary stage survivors Chad, e-Swatini, Liberia, and South Sudan will join 44 other nations in the draw. The 48 countries will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each.
The top two teams from each group will qualify directly for the finals in Morocco.
The qualification series will kick off with the first two games during the FIFA window in September (2nd – 10th), followed by two more matches in October (7th – 15th), and the final two games in November (11th – 19th).
Nigeria, who are three-time Champions of the tournament, will be aiming to secure their place in the tournament once again.
