The Super Eagles have arrived at Ivory Coast ahead of the commencement of the Africa Cup of Nations.
At noon local time, 23 players and 18 officials touched down in the Capital city of the West African country.
Kelechi Iheanacho and Terem Moffi are expected to join the Super Eagles in Abidjan. While Iheanacho passed a late fitness test, Moffi was called as replacement for the injured Victor Boniface.
Patrick Pascal, the Super Eagles coordinator, was the first through the doors of Terminal 2 of tbe International Airport before the rest of Nigeria’s contingent streamed out on to the gyration of a local troupe welcoming tbeir arrival.
Afterwards, the team was driving to Pullman hotel where they’d be camped.

Victor Osimhen has expressed the unwavering determination of the Super Eagles to clinch victory in the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), aiming to compensate for the disappointment of missing out on the FIFA World Cup.
All eyes will be on the AFCON 2024 set to be held for the second time in the Ivory Coast starting this January 13. A total of 24 teams will be competing for a place in the finals in Alassane Ouattara Stadium on February 11, in a tournament that could be determined by the available stars. Senegal are the defending champions, and once again they will be led by a galaxy of stars, including Sadio Mane, while Napoli and Liverpool hotshots Victor Osimhen and Mohammed Salah will lead Nigeria and Egypt respectively.
