Ahead of their crucial President Federation Cup quarter-final match, Rivers Angels’ star player Sarah Iloduba expressed strong confidence in her team’s chances against Osun Babes.
The former Nigerian Women’s Football League champions will take on Osun Babes in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
Iloduba, who previously played for the Osogbo-based Osun Queens before joining Rivers Angels, highlighted her team’s determination to secure the Federation Cup title.
“We won’t take them for granted. It’s 11 players against 11, and we’ll do the talking on the pitch. We’re going all out for victory; we won’t underestimate them,” Iloduba told journalists.
Reflecting on their season, Iloduba added, “We’re taking that disappointment of not winning the league as motivation to win the President Federation Cup.”
The match is set to be a significant test for both teams as they vie for a spot in the tournament’s semifinals.
