Now, the 24-year-old striker faces tough competition from football luminaries such as Nicolò Barella, Jude Bellingham, Karim Benzema, Yassine Bounou, Antoine Griezmann, Ilkay Gundogan, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Robert Lewandowski for this coveted accolade.

Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala has secured her place among the nominees for the Women’s Best Player award, marking her debut in this category.
