In preparation for this month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau, Nigeria’s head coach José Peseiro has invited team captain Ahmed Musa, in form strikers Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, as well as 20 other players, including new faces to the Super Eagles camp.

Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi and goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso were summoned for the recently ended U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where the Nigeria finished third.

Goalkeeper Victor Sochima will compete with Francis Uzoho for the starting goalie position as Rivers United FC edge closer to a CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final berth.

The 23 Players invited are expected to start arriving the Super Eagles camp on March 19, in Abuja.

After victories against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe, Nigeria tops group A, followed by Guinea-Bissau in second place with four points .
