2021 Afrobasket: Abdul Yahaya backs D’tigers to win in Kigali

Former D’Tigers player, Abdul Yahaya has backed the Nigerian men’s basketball team to defend their Afrobasket by winning the competition in Kigali, Rwanda.

Yahaya was a part of the previous team that won the Afro basketball for Nigeria but couldn’t make the setup due to the inability of the Federation to organize a league for the home-based players.
Speaking with brila.net Abdul said he is confident the Mike Brown side can win the tourney despite the peculiar situation of the setup with limited preparation before the games.
“Preparation or no preparation, it’s has happened to us before and we performed very well. We are Nigerians so, I believe we can win the trophy.” He said.
