Glasgow Rangers are interested in bring Super Eagles forward Josh Maja to the Ibrox this summer according to the reports.
Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Imama Amapakabo has advised the Nigeria Football Federation not to employ coaches attached to club sides into national team set up.
Amapakabo who made the statement while speaking as guest on social media platforms FUBF noted that the idea is multi-tasking and bring about distraction for the coaches.
Imama once doubled as the head coach of the El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and the assistant coach of the Super Eagles, before his departured from both roles.
The newly appointed Head Coach of Abia Warriors however opined that national teams handlers should be fully engaged by the Federation.
“I think its tasking because at all times, the coaches have to multi-task. Its a big challenge when you have to shuttle between club and country, at one point you’re leading a team, the other point you’re assisting.
“Haven to chance your modus operandi is a big challenge. I think it will be nice if the coaches of national teams get full employment by the federation (NFF) and the clubs also get their own coaches, that way I think it will be okay. That will be good to separate the responsibility of the coach from the national teams and of course the club sides,” he said.
Newly promoted side West Bromwich Albion has heaped praises on Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi for helping them gained promotion back to the English Premier League.
West Bromwich Albion finished second behind championship winners Leeds United, but it was still a very successful season for the club as they returned to the top flight division for the first time in two years.
Oluwasemilogo Adesewo Ibidapo Ajayi, played a prominent role in the success despite only joining the club last summer.

Meanwhile, Baggies Manager Slaven Bilić is expected to strengthen the team before the commencement of Premier League in September but Semi Ajayi who is also a regular for the Super Eagles is expected to an important member of the team in the top tier of English football.

Akwa united player Samson Gbadebo has stated that players have suddenly turned into match organisers amidst the Covid-19 break in a bid to ensure they don’t lose out completely in form and physical shape while they wait on when they will be able to play football.
Gbadebo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said players have resulted to arranging friendly matches among themselves just to gain match fitness now that the wait will have to continue with the season ended already and the league also having to get the all clear from the Government on when the league and sports return generally.
“Personal training, personal work out, that’s what has been keeping us fit and at times too some other friends around we arrange matches for ourselves. So it’s been just that as we continue to look for ways to stay fit while we are inactive at club level.”
Former Coach of Nigeria women national team and Nigeria women football league defending champion Edwin Okon has called on the private sector to come into women football league sponsorship in Nigeria noting that the league is ripe and due for one.
Okon speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the NFF as well as the NWFL knows too well that the league is due for sponsorship and that part of the way to improve the league and make players stay in the women’s league is to source for sponsorship which will help improve the quality of the women football league in Nigeria.
“It’s lack of sponsorship, people should come out, the corporate bodies should as well come out to assist the female football group, once the corporate body comes in to assist female football, I think you will see the good side of the game from the female.
The NFF and the NWFL knows too well that we are ripe for it, it’s been long and I do believe that it will improve the league in Nigeria. It will equally give that opportunity for our players to remain at home.”
Panetolikos of Greece and Nigerian striker Abiola Dauda has expressed delight at the survival of his team in the Greek Super league 2019/2020 season after finishing just a spot above the relegation playoff position finishing 6th in the 8 teams relegation group standings.
Dauda speaking in a chat with www.brila.netexpressed satisfaction with the way things ended after things looked at some point like they were actually heading for the drop at the end of the season.
He also added that he would have loved to score more goals than the 8 goals he scored throughout the season for his side. Dauda’s 8 goals put him joint 15th with compatriot Brown Ideye who also returned 8 goals.
“For the team first of all, It’s a small team in Greece and we did what no one thought we could do. And we don’t have the same budget as the Olympiacos, PAOK or AIK and all those top four so for us it’s been a good year for the club. And for me personally I wish I could score more goals but I’m still very much satisfied with the season.”
Ararat Armenia and former Nigeria U17 national team forward Yusuf Otubanjo has stated that he hopes to have a chance to reunite with his former U17 national team colleagues at the senior level with Nigeria’s Super Eagles after helping his side win the Armenia league for the 2019/2020 league season.
