Rivers Hoopers coach Ogoh Odaudu has described the current time in global sports as very critical and lamented the unfortunate turn of events that has bedevilled sports and largely humanity in the world.
Odaudu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said one of the major downside to the current situation of things for his side is that all work put in to the Rivers Hoopers team before the break while they were getting set for the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League has been lost due to a Covid-19 induced break that has taken longer than expected.
“It’s a very critical period that we are in now, everybody is really disappointed and for us as coaches it means after all these break we have to go back to square one to start work all over again.
“So for us is really terrible. But in all that is happening, in all the disappointment and everything, I’m still of the opinion that health matters first. If you’re not healthy you cannot play, if you’re not healthy you cannot coach.”
