He praised Jide Omotayo and described him as the new face of the next generation while ruing Aruna Quadri’s injury which means he will have his Olympic qualification delayed and will have to keep his ranking intact to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 games.

Mbaoma optimistic of Enyimba’s CAF Confederation cup chances despite Horoya home draw

Enyimba striker Victor Mbaoma has stated that all is still very much open for the People’s Elephants despite playing out a 1-1 draw at home to Guinean Ligue 1 side Horoya AC in the first leg of the CAF Confederation cup quarter final at the Enyimba stadium in Aba.
Mbaoma speaking in a chat with brila.net said the team is still pleased that the didn’t lose the game and that they can still go away to get a good result against Horoya despite the home draw. He however added that they will have to work on grey areas in the team before the second leg.
“It’s a good thing for us that we didn’t lose, we have seen ourselves. We have seen them and they have seen us, so we will work on our lapses and we will get it right there, it’s very possible though we lost some chances and they had just one and they took it and that was the end.”
