Kano Pillars forward Nyima Nwangwa has expressed that Sai Masugida are in Enugu confident that they can pick maximum points at the expense of their host Enugu Rangers ahead of today’s NPFL matchday 11 rescheduled fixture.
National boxing coach Anthony Konyegwachi has expressed sadness after the camp of Nigeria’s boxing contingent was dissolved Tuesday on the ground of lack of fund ahead of the Africa boxing Olympic qualifiers.
Rangers forward Kelvin Itoya has urged fans of the Enugu based side to continue to support the team and call on them to come out en masse to cheer the team to victory ahead of today’s NPFL match day 11 rescheduled fixture against last season’s runners up Kano Pillars at the Nnamdi Azikwe stadium.
Itoya speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Flying Antelopes after losing last time at home to Akwa united have a resolve to ensure they do not drop points at home again and want to recoup lost point at home with the outstanding fixture.
“Losing that game last Sunday was a very poor result for us and we will not want to lose any more points at home so we are ready for the game and by the grace of God we will get the three maximum points.
“We have always enjoined our fans to come out to support us because at the end of the day there is no way we are going to sabotage the team. We are going to give our best to ensure we take the three points.”
Kwara united FC Coach Abdullahi Biffo has stated that his side will be unfazed by the form and pedigree of their opponent ahead of today’s NPFL match day 13 rescheduled fixture at the Enyimba stadium.
Biffo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said Enyimba no doubt remain the favourites for the game on pedigree but that his players will have the natural motivation and the avenue to showcase themselves and spring surprises against their more illustrious opponent in Enyimba.
“After the training I told my boys they should forget about the team we are playing. They have to focus on what they want for themselves.
“If you want to look at the opponent name, psychologically you will be defeated because Enyimba still remain the best in the country, but bunch of my players are unknown players and this is the avenue that they have to showcase their talent to the entire nation that they can be better than even the Enyimba players.
“So that one is even a natural motivation for itself. “
