Agu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the coaches will also ensure players are not tempted to underrate their opponent or compare seeing their opponents as lesser opposition to what they have been used to facing in recent times.
“There is nobody you can count out, you just have to take each game as it comes and you make sure that you give your best and that’s precisely what we are going to do.
Because the moment you start underrating a team or ruling out a country, that might lead to something else. We don’t want to do that and we will never go that way.”
Africa table tennis Federation vice President and Chairman of the newly inaugurated Marketing and sponsorship commission of the NOC Barrister Waheed Oshodi has stated that he is excited with the chance to lead a commission to help raise requisite funds for athletes on a more consistent basis.
Oshodi speaking in a chat with www.brila.netsaid the effects of sports in Nigeria is so big that plotting a way forward to generate funds for the sake of athletes development will go a long way.
“The effects sports has on our nation is unbelievable, when our athletes do well it gives everybody a lift in the country. So we are glad to get the chance to be able to raise the needed fund to support these athletes.
Six months to the Olympics, it is even coming very late because athletes are now doing their last bit of training, attending competitions and I think this is where we can come in on a longer term mission to find a sustainable way of raising funds.”
