2020 Paralympics: Odior explains medal drop compare to Rio games

Assistant Secretary-General of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria Dr. Sunday Odior has expressed satisfaction with Nigeria’s outing at the just concluded Paralympic Games in Tokyo Japan.

Team Nigeria finished with a total of 10medals (4 Gold, 1 Silver & 5 Bronze) to place 33rd on the medals table which is a drop compared to the 17th place finish achieved at the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro.
Odior speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the drop in medal count for Nigeria was as a result of the loss of a number of athletes who couldn’t participate due to what was seen as an evasion of out-of-competition test and subsequent disqualification and ban for another medal prospect.
