Former Super Eagles striker Julius Aghahowa has urged national team coach Gernot Rohr to continue to berth more young players in as much as they continue to do well irrespective of how young they are so as to ensure players grow quickly and are able to contribute their quota to the national team.
Aghahowa reckoned that the idea of waiting for a player who is good enough in the name of allowing such players to mature might be denoting the national team the opportunity to enjoy the services of such players on time and in good time as well.
“We should stop saying the future, because the future is here and we should give opportunity to these young players so they can be part of the team early enough. Look at the case of Ighalo who retired in the national team and we believe he can still play for long. So the earlier the better.”
