Villarreal will only accept suitors €63M bid for youngster Chukwueze

Villarreal will ask for a whopping 63 million Euros from any Club who’s ready to price Samuel Chukwueze away from the Spanish Club this summer.

It was reported that Liverpool and other top European clubs are showing interest in Samuel Chukwueze after his impressive form with Yellow Submarine Club last season.

Chukwueze, 20, moved to Villarreal for only 500,000 Euros a season and half ago and his stocks has risen tremendously since then.

According to L’equipe, the Villarreal now have a contract with the Super Eagles winger till 2023 with a release clause of 63 million Euros.

The former Nigeria U17 and U20 star scored eight goals and provided three assists in 38 matches in all competitions this past season and was listed in L’Equipe as the 25th best U-20 player in the world.

Chukwueze is part of Nigeria’s final squad to the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

President of the Nigeria wrestling Federation Hon. Daniel Igali has stated that the fast approaching national wrestling classics slated for Bayelsa from the 23rd to the 30th of June this year will produce Nigerian wrestlers that will represent the country at the Wrestling event of the All Africa games as well as the world championship in Kazakhstan.

Akwa united will amend Super six failure with Federation cup – Effiong

Captain of Akwa united FC Oto-obong Effiong has stated that the Promise Keepers have shifted their attention away from their failure at the  just concluded NPFL Super six.
The captain disclosed that they have their focus firmly on making amends with a smooth run to triumph at the Federations cup with their first March coming this weekend in Abuja against NNL side Sokoto united.
Effiong speaking in a chat with www.brila.netsaid the players were left distraught after finishing outside the continental positions and intends to make amends by ensuring they go all the way to pick the continental tickets by winning the Federation cup.
“We had so much expectations going to the Super six but it was unfortunate we couldn’t achieve our aim .
Now we are out, we couldn’t get the championship tickets, we couldn’t get the continental tickets. So now all our aim now is on the Federation cup which we believe will get us our continental tickets.

Ezeji predicts better continental representation for Nigeria aftermath of Super six

Former NPFL veteran and LMC players advisor Victor Ezeji has stated that Nigeria can look forward to a better continental representation next season based on the quality of the top three teams that emerged from the just concluded NPFL Super six namely Enyimba, Kano Pillars and Enugu Rangers.
Ezeji speaking in a chat with www.brila.net, however advised the clubs to ensure they start planning early enough for their continental sojourn so as not to be caught napping when the time comes for them to start their continental challenge.
He also hailed Enyimba for rising up to the occasion when it matters most.
“The are the best we have at the moment, it was a tight competition but some how Enyimba been Enyimba were able to make it ahead of others.
I think we will have a better representation on the continent this year if only they will start preparation in earnest which have always been the problem of Nigerian football.”
Enyimba and Kano Pillars will represent Nigeria in the CAF champions league while Enugu Rangers will campaign in the CAF Confederation cup and the fourth continental representative will emerge from the Federation cup.

Aghahowa urge Eagles to beat Senegal for Psychological boost

Former Nigeria international Julius Aghahowa has urged the Super Eagles to beat the Terenga Lions of Senegal this Sunday in the two team’s last preparatory game before the commencement of the Africa cup of nations which starts in a week’s time. 
Aghahowa speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Super Eagles shouldn’t necessarily be judged by what the outcome of the match will be but that winning such games would also have a psychological boost on the team going to the AFCON.
“This kind of game, the result doesn’t count but at the end of the day, it’s something that you also look forward to because you’re giving the players confidence to go into the Nations cup knowing fully well that you have won and perfected your strategy and that’s the positive side of it.
But the negative side is if you lose, it might have a negative effects on the players.”
