Biffo promises Katsina United fans the best

Coach of NPFL side Abdullahi Biffo has promised fans of Katsina united to stay positive and expects nothing less than the best from him while recalling the effort of his club while during the time while he was kidnapped.

Biffo speaking ahead of today’s clash with Enyimba told www.brila.net that result have been okay since his return and hope to lead Katsina out of the group to be one of the teams that will compete at the Super 4 for one the continental tickets.

Currently placed 4th on the league table just a spot behind Enyimba, Biffo believes his side are well placed to challenge and achieve their target for the season.

Pre-World cup tourneys will help in final players selection – Madu

Assistant coach of Nigeria’s women national team Mauren Madu has stated that having the senior women national team go through series of preparatory tourneys will benefit the team as well as the coaches who will have ample opportunity to test many players and see these players well before arriving at the final list of those that will represent Nigeria at the world cup proper.

Madu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net thanked the NFF for showing so much commitment to ensure the Falcons are well prepared for the world cup stressing that it is one that will also help the coaches time to constantly see where to work on in the team and also how to constantly review and assess the players readiness and competitiveness ahead of the world cup.

Nigeria’s women national team will be prosecuting the Cyprus cup with 24 players invited by the coaching crew to participate in the tournament which begins next week.

The Super Falcons are housed in group C alongside European trio of Austria, Slovakia and Belgium.

NFF committed to improving Falcons squad ahead women’s world cup – Sanusi

General secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has stated that the football governing body is committed to improving the fortunes of the Nigeria women national team ahead of this summer’s world cup in France.

Sanusi speaking in a chat with www.brila.netsaid the football federation believes the Cyprus cup which starts next week 25th February – 7th March help strengthen the team in this regard in line with the NFF’s resolve to provide the team with adequate preparation ahead of the 2019 FIFA women world cup this summer.

He added that the NFF also hopes the team gets better and reciprocate the gesture of the football federation with good outing at the competitions in front of them.
