U23 AFCON Qualifiers: Ilechukwu relishes national assignment alongside Imama, Boboye
Sunshine Stars Head Kabiru Dogo has made a sensational claim about his team’s goalscoring palaver following Thursday’s 1-1 result at the Akure Township stadium against newly promoted Bendel Insurance.
Sunshine Stars came from behind, but fell short of finding a match winner as they eventually had to settle for a point in the NPFL match, but Dogo insists goal scoring lapses are a global phenom and not peculiar to his team.
Speaking in his post match presser the Coach defended his team’s attacking record so far this season by claiming world over there is a goal scoring crisis; “even in the national team,” he argued.
The coach also stressed that the quality of strikers and forwards has dipped over the years, suggesting coaches have to make do with what they have.
