Enugu Rangers forward Kelvin Itoya has stated that the Flying Antelopes are now more conscious of their unbeaten run so far in Africa’s second tier club competition ahead of Sunday’s return leg playoff fixture against Lesotho’s Bantu FC.
Itoya speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said Rangers didn’t set out for any unbeaten run in the competition before now and that the target was just to do well on the continent.
He added that with the unbeaten start to life now stretching to 5 games, they intend to keep the record for as long as possible.
Itoya concluded that the run has also been motivated by the strong resolve of Rangers to keep marching on as far as they can get to on the continent.
Rangers next host Bantu FC on Sunday in the second leg playoff fixture having won the first leg against the Lesotho side 2-1 in Maseru last week.
