Assistant coach of Nigeria’s men basketball national team Odaudu Ogoh has rued Nigeria’s world cup crashed hopes following the team’s second defeat in two games.
Ogoh speaking in a chat with brila.net said the D’Tigers have shown remarkable improvement with the result posted so far at the world cup but only unfortunate to have lost both games despite having moment where they also dragged the game level with their opponent.
“Nigerian basketball has come to stay at the world level. We are no longer a team that will get beaten by 70 or 80 points gap.
“You could see that Argentina, Russia are big power houses in basketball and we dragged them to the final quarter of the game. So it’s understandable for a young team , a new team to have such moments in the game.
