Neville praises “brilliant” Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira
Manchester United Legend Gary Neville has heaped praised on Lucas Torreira for his “absolutely brilliant” performance in Arsenal‘s comeback win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze played the entire duration, but couldn’t save his side Villarreal from suffering 2-0 defeat in the hands of Catalan giants Barcelona at Camp Nou on Sunday.

Raja Casablanca beat AS Vita 4-3 to win 2018 CAF Confederation Cup
Raja Casablanca of Morocco survived a late fight back from AS Vita Club of DR Congo to win the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup 4-3 on aggregate on Sunday.
Raja who defeated Nigerian side Enyimba in the semi-final took a 3 goals first leg advantage to Kinshasa for the second leg and suffered 3-1 defeat but it was enough to see them crowned champion.
Raja’s Abdelilah Hafidi made it 4–0 for visitors after 21 minutes into the second leg, when he scored from the mistake of AS Vita at the back .
Vita Club fought back into the match and restored parity on the stroke of half-time through Makusu Mundele to set up a tensed second 45 minutes.

Stephen Odey continued his goals scoring form as he scored his sixth Swiss Super league goal of the season for FC Zurich‘s 2-1 winover Grasshoppers at the Letzigrund stadium on Sunday.
Salim Khefili had opened the scoring for Zurich seven minutes after the restart but Grasshoppers stayed in contention for a point for much of the remaining minutes.

Injury stopped Oparanozie from AWCON final, not tactics – Dennerby
Super Falcons Coach Thomas Dennerby has revealed that Desire Oparanozie suffered injury in the build up to the AWCON finalagainst the Bayana Bayana at Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Oparanozie alongside the duo of Asisat Oshoala and Francisca Ordega started all Super Falcons games enroute to the final and it was surprise decision to see the Guingamp forward was dropped from to the bench for the final.
However , while answering questions from media, Dennerby said the decision to leave the attacker out of the team was due to fitness problem and not tactical issue.
“Oparanozie , I think everybody saw her in the semi-final , she has a small injury ( hamstring) , but she was training with team, until after last training before the final when she said no, I probably can’t playand we have to change our plan because of that.”
Oparanozie was replaced by Robo FC Captain Rasheedat Ajibade in the starting line up as the Falcons clinched her 9th AWCON title in the epic final.
