Brighton & Hove Albion defender, Leon Balogun, is set to make his first start in the EPL after Lewis Dunk has been confirmed to miss the Liverpool game.
Balogun came on as a substitute in Brighton’s 3-2 win over Manchester United after Dunk got injured and failed to continue.
The former Mainz 05 defender will face real test on Saturday as Brighton travel to Anfield and face Liverpool.
The 30- year old defender declared his readiness for the upcoming game as he’s geared up for with Liverpool trio of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino.
“ Liverpool will be completely different because I know how Jurgen Klopp likes his teams to play from during my time in Germany.
“I think it will be a lot more intense this weekend but I’m looking forward to it – it’s been an exciting and crazy summer for me,” he told the club website.
Balogun is one of the players expected to be invited by the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the upcoming 2019 AFCON qualifying game against Seychelles in September.
