Locomotive Plovdiv and Super Eagles Central defender Steven Eze have indicated signs that he has moved on from his 2018 Russia World Cup disappointment, brila.net has revealed.
Eze told brila.net he has shifted his attention back to his club and said he would always give his best for his club so as to get himself very much in the radar for future national team call-ups after been dropped from the provisional world cup squad yesterday.
Eze said he wouldn’t stop working hard despite the obvious disappointment of failing to make the cut for the world cup proper.
The CHAN Eagles player had earlier on Wednesday expressed his sadness on Instagram.
“Sadly, my journey to the World Cup ends here. I am disappointed to not make the final squad, but I want to thank our coach and management for the opportunity! I wish my team the best & hope to join in celebrations when they bring the trophy home! GO #NIGERIA! #DefendLikeEze,” he wrote.
Nigeria play Argentina, Croatia and Iceland in the group stage of the June 14 to July 15 tournament in Russia.
