Super Eagles and Lokomotiv Plodiv defender, Steven Eze said he’s setting out to “justify” his invitation to fight for a place in Nigeria’s World Cup squad.
Eze was named alongside 29 others in Nigeria’s provisional world cup list on Monday and the CHAN 2018 star said he’s determined to work even harder now.
The center-back will face fierce competition in the main Super Eagles team with William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Kenneth Omeruo high up in the pecking order.
But, the former Kano Pillars man has also improved since his January move to Bulgaria where he is a regular with top flight side Plodiv.
Recounting his journey this year, Eze told Brila.net that he appreciates his progression and is not taking the opportunities he has got for granted.
