English Premier League club, Crystal Palace have reportedly joined the race for Manchester City Striker, Kelechi Iheanacho according to the player’s representatives.
Ogunade wants Nigeria Basketball Federation to help in hosting the FIBA Afrobasketball Tournament after Angola withdraws from hosting the tourney.
As the battle for the crown of African basketball begins, Chairman of Lagos State Basketball Association, Babs Ogunade, has called on the Nigeria Basketball Federation to help out in hosting the event if they can.
Ogunade stated that he cannot judge any country who has declined to host due to poor economic situations on the continent.
“I want to call on the NBBF to kindly help in the hosting of the FIBA Afrobasketball tournament.
“I cannot blame Angola for declining in hosting because any country on the continent can withdraw due to one reason or the other,” Ogunade said.
Uncertainty continues as Angola withdraws from hosting the FIBA Afrobasketball Tournament which is expected to begin in August.
Nigeria will be taking part in the forthcoming event, with other countries like, South Africa, Angola, Mozambique, Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Rwanda, Egypt, Uganda, Cote d’Ivore, Congo, Central Africa Republic and Cameroon, all set to be in action.

Though the Super Eagles lost to South Africa 0-2 in their first AFCON 2019 Qualifiers game in group E and for the first time in an official game, Sodje has stated that it was a heartbreaking game for so many Nigerians, insisting the team could have done better.
Sodje said: “There’s no doubt that loosing to South Africa on home soil is heartbreaking, and so many Nigerians are not happy.
“The defense line was poor, it is very shocking to me that we lost to South Africa and really hurtful.
“We have to forget about what has happened and move on. It’s going to be hard to get the ticket, but we are the Super Eagles so it’s always possible to achieve our aims,”.
Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that his move to Crystal Palace in January 2016 was the biggest mistake of his career.
Adebayor who currently plays for Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir had his best season in Premier League’s 2007/08, by scoring 24 goals at the Emirates when he replaced Thierry Henry.
After joining Crystal Palace on a six-month loan spell in January last year, the Togolese veteran was released at the end of the same season.
The Former Manchester City player finished his Tottenham career with 37 Premier League goals before he joined Palace.

‘The only error that I made was to sign for Crystal Palace in January 2016.

Belotti impresses again as Torino President firmly sticks to the players worth
Manchester United target Andrea Belotti will not be allowed to leave Torino unless the £87million release clause is met.
Belotti scored one and assisted another as Italy dismantled Liechtenstein 5-0 in their World Cup qualifying game in Udine on Sunday.
The Torino forward scored the Azzurri’s second goal with a superb finish before showing great vision to pick out substitute Eder with a well-timed cross in the 74th minute.
The Italian striker, 23, who has been on United’s radar for some time after a breakthrough season in Serie A, but Torino president Urbano Cairo is not willing to allow his star striker depart without the Italy international’s £87million release clause is met.
Cairo told Italian broadcaster Radio 24: “I care about Belotti and I’m keeping hold of him.
“He has a contract with Torino until 2021. I would only sell him for €100m, but even then he can refuse.
“The most important thing is what he wants, regardless of the release clause, and I believe he wants to stay.
“We are trying to build the best possible team at Torino.
“Belotti is busy on international duty [with Italy] at the moment and then he is getting married on Thursday — he invited me.”
The Torino forward has added to speculations as regards to his future, that he doesn’t know what is going to happen.
