Wenger has informed club owner- Stan Kroenke of his decision to remain Arsenal manager after meeting with him on Monday.
Wenger’s decision to remain at the club will be relayed to directors at a Tuesday board meeting.
The Arsenal manager, 67, who won the FA Cup Final, will attend today’s board meeting where his future, summer plans and a backroom reshuffle will be discussed.
It means – the Frenchman will remain at Arsenal after agreeing to sign a new two-year contract with the Emirates stadium outfit, unless there’s a dramatic U-turn.
Kroenke, who attended Saturday’s FA Cup final, has spoken to Wenger over the past 72 hours. The Frenchman is understood to have told the club’s majority shareholder of his intention to stay.

Wenger retains the owner’s backing, meaning Kroenke is virtually certain to ratify the Frenchman’s new deal.
There remains genuine resistance from members of the Gunners board to Wenger staying – but Kroenke holds the final decision.
