It’s full steam ahead in the Super Eagles camp as 20 players have already touched down in London for the 2025 Unity Cup.
With kickoff against Ghana just days away, the squad is beginning to take shape.
The Unity Cup, set to run from May 27 to 31, brings together Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago in a four-nation tournament that aims to celebrate cultural unity and showcase footballing talent from across Africa and the Caribbean.
Among the early arrivals are several Europe-based Super Eagles stars, including Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Cyriel Dessers, Felix Agu, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Nathan Tella, and Semi Ajayi.
AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze is also in camp, boosting Nigeria’s attacking options.
NPFL stalwart Ahmed Musa is also present, alongside defender Igho Ogbu, who recently signed a contract extension with Slavia Prague.
Their experience adds depth to a squad that blends seasoned internationals with emerging domestic talent.
The home-based players who have joined up with the team include Junior Nduka, Sodiq Ismaila, Waliu Ojetoye, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Papa Mustapha, Saviour Isaac, Collins Ugwueze, Sikiru Alimi, and Abubakar Adamu.
Their inclusion is part of coach Eric Chelle’s vision to integrate promising NPFL talents into the national setup.

Still expected to arrive are goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye, and Amas Obasogie, as well as defenders Chrisantus Uche and Bruno Onyemaechi.
Nigeria will kick off their Unity Cup campaign against Ghana on Wednesday, May 28, at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.
With 20 players already in, coach Chelle is focused on fine-tuning tactics and building cohesion.
The tournament offers a unique chance for home-based players to stake a claim for future call-ups while also preparing the team for upcoming international assignments.
