It took him seven games, but when Ademola Lookman smashed in his first goal of the season, not only was the relief palpable, it also eventually earned Atalanta a point (1-1) against AC Milan.

This campaign, the mission for Lookman might take on a reclamatory form following a failed transfer away from Bergamo and the fallout with the fans as well as a no-show during preseason.
Lookman missed the first four games of the season under new Manager, Ivan Juric, and was unavailable for the six pre-season tune ups.
Gradually the 28-year-old has warmed his way back – picking up form and endearing himself to La Dea’s faithfuls – as their talisman.
Even Juric expressed delight with the signs his side have shown. Atalanta have not lost a game in the Serie A, and their only defeat this season was in the UEFA Champions League against holders, Paris Saint-Germain.

However, while the unbeaten streak might sound ‘impressive’, it is really only flattering because they’ve only picked up just two wins in a run of 9 Serie A games – 3 in all competitions.
Atalanta are not a heritage and might not even be considered outsiders in the title race, but it appears Juric has not managed to improve the team much.
Tuesday’s result against AC Milan was Atalanta’s fifth consecutive draw in the league, in that stretch they have scored only four goals and conceded as many.
Next up for the team is a road game away at Stadio Friuli against Udinese.
