Glasgow Rangers’ striker Cyril Dessers shed light on the factors contributing to his resurgence in form with the Scottish powerhouse.

The 29-year-old Nigerian scored in Rangers 2-0 win over St. Johnstone at Ibrox on Wednesday, taken his tally to three in last three league games.

Dessers, who joined the Ibrox Stadium this summer, initially faced challenges settling into the team.

However, he now credits the team’s recent success to the impact of newly appointed coach Philippe Clement.

Speaking about his improved performance, Dessers emphasized the positive influence of the coaching change, stating:

“Definitely, but I think the turnaround came already with the new gaffer arriving. My performances are getting better with every game, and this gives us more energy to keep going.”

Despite facing setbacks and dropping points, Dessers emphasized the team’s focus on self-improvement and resilience.

He expressed his commitment to being ready whenever called upon by the coach, aiming to contribute effectively to the team’s success.​
