Trabzonspor is determined to finalize the transfer of Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu before the Turkish transfer window closes.

Trabzonspor President, Ertuğrul Doğan confirmed the club’s commitment to securing Onuachu.

Dogan disclosed that they have made a substantial offer of 6 million euros plus bonuses, potentially rising to 8 million euros.

“We made the biggest offer to his club regarding Paul Onuachu,” the Trabzon president confirmed.

“We made an offer of 6 million euros plus bonuses, up to 8 million euros, but his club (Southampton) insists on 15 million euros. We are still interested. Preparations are underway to add another foreigner.”

With Onuachu reportedly eager to join Trabzonspor and the European transfer windows closing, the Turkish side is keen to capitalize on the situation, making his deal a priority.

He scored 17 goals in 25 match appearances last season for the Turkish side.

However, the 30-year-old striker has not featured in any of Southampton’s matchday squads this season.
