Official Document of CAS Verdict on Tobi Amusan’s Doping Violation

Nigerian sprinter Tobi Amusan has been exonerated by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding allegations of whereabouts rule violations.

The charges, brought forward by World Athletics and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), against Amusan have been dismissed.

CAS reviewed the appeals submitted by World Athletics and WADA and upheld the earlier decision of the disciplinary tribunal.

The tribunal had previously determined that Amusan had not breached any anti-doping regulations.

In its ruling, CAS stated: “Accordingly, the Challenged Decision in which the WADT considered that Tobi Amusan did not violate Rule 2.4 of the WA Anti-Doping Rules (WA ADR) and that no period of ineligibility should be imposed on the Athlete is confirmed.”
