Dele Alampasu Returns to Action After 10-Month Injury Hiatus

Dele Alampasu has made a comeback after almost a year in the side due to injury.

Alampasu was sidelined with a 10-month absence due to injury he sustained while playing for his club, Jura Dolois, in the Championnat National 3, the fifth tier of French football, on August 26, 2023.

He announced his return from an undisclosed injury on his Instagram page on Friday.

“We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated. It’s a pleasure to be back on what gives me happiness. God over everything.”

Despite his early promise and success, including winning the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup with Nigeria, Alampasu’s career has not reached the expected heights.

Dele Alampasu has had stints with Portuguese clubs Feirense and Cesarense, and has also played for Latvian sides Ventspils and FK Jelgava, as well as Pietà Hotspurs.
